Week 1: Pursuing God’s Purpose for Your Life

Main Verse: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

Devotional Thought:

The will of God is not a mystery to be solved; it is a journey to be walked. Often, wefind ourselves asking, “What is my purpose?” or “What is God’s plan for me?” Yet,Scripture reminds us that God’s purpose for our lives begins with knowing Him intimately and walking in obedience daily. His plans for us are rooted in His love and designed for our good and His glory. As we embark on this journey of seeking His will, we must first align our hearts with Him. This means surrendering our desires, plans, and fears at His feet. Pursuing God’s purpose is not about achieving a specific goal or destination but about becoming the person He created us to be—faithful, loving, and devoted. Today, take time to reflect on God’s promise in Jeremiah 29:11. Trust that His plans aregood, even when the path seems unclear. His purposes for you are far greater than you can imagine, and He invites you to trust Him as He leads you step by step.

Action Step: Spend time in prayer, asking God to reveal areas in your life where you need to surrender to Him. Journal your thoughts about what it means to trust God’s plans for your life fully.
